Queer East @ Plexal is a meetup for the LGBTQ+ community at Plexal, Here East and our surrounding neighbourhood in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Allies are welcome and encouraged!
As well as networking and community building, our third meetup of the year will include a discussion on all things social media.
Come prepared to explore questions like:
Has cancel culture gone too far?
How can we use social media to champion change?
How can social media be a safer space for the LGBTQ+ community?
Is social media causing division by placing people in echo chambers where their own views are reinforced? What tools are we using to counter this?
How has your relationship with social media changed over this year, and how can we use it better?
